Hi everyone!

I just bought a S3000XL and it seems like it's a faulty one. : (
It boots up from the floppy, it receives midi signal, I can play the test tone, data encoder and numeric keys are working, but nothing happens if I try to switch mode: the mode keys are not responding.
Do you guys have any idea?

here is a vid about how it behaves: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ag5XRT4ewa-Rgbo8Ry25aUzJdQ1uUQ

Thank you!

Do you see the searching for SCSI msg?

hey, thanks for the replies!

yea, I´ve already opened it up, cables seem to be ok.

no, it doesn`t show the ´searching for hard disk` message although the SCSI fuse is blown. if I start with the external ZIP drive plugged in, or with floppy, it boots up without the error message. I´ve tought that the problem with function change is not related to the scsi fuse. maybe I was wrong.

From what you're describing, it really does not sound like the scsi fuse is blown on it.
