I want to use my mpc 2500 to control the app, are they for some reason not compatible?

I read the manual, but I don't see where that answers how to connect my MPC 2500 with the iPad to control the iMPC. I have the irig midi. Is it something to do with "wist?" I'm missing it....

You probably need to use iMPC within Tabletop to have midi control. You can then use the midi learn features to map pads, knobs, etc.

How do you have the Ipad connected to the MPC? Are you using the camera connection kit with a USB midi adapter? You may want to checkout the iRig midi or even the Alesis IO dock.
