Sequenceable location points

The way that I use the MPC is to make all parts within 4 bars and then copy the bars out to the length of the song. Then I go into record mode and play the track mutes to make my song. While doing that, I assumed that it would also work when I would locate to the beginning of the bar during record mode but it didnt. I think it would be great if it did have this capability and maybe down the road allow the ability to assign location points to pads and record that performance.
