possible to map knobs from Essentials to an MPD232?

I wanted to chop samples in MPC Essentials, with the MPD232. I'd like to know if it's possible to map one of the MPD232's eight control knobs to the Essentials software, so that I can adjust the start point of the chops with the MPD232 knob.

Are the knobs on the mpd232 360° rotation?
And i think they have to be assignable Q-Link controllers.
