Import midi to trak MPC 2.08

how does one import a midi file to an existing sequence? very basic operation seems to be elusive. searched entire manual. no luck! was able to import midi file to new sequence but not to an existing sequence.

I get what your saying and the software looks at what you would think as a hi hat midi pattern as a whole sequence and not a track pattern I too wish they would accomplish this task and its not possible in the way you want to accomplish it as of yet.
