As I'm sure most of us know, sampling vinyl will involve a fair amount of backcueing. I'm no different...when I hear a cool part I'll back the record up either by hand or with the "Reverse" button on my turntable.

Up until now, I've been using the venerable Shure M44-7, which is durable as a cartridge can get. In the interest of getting a better sound from my vinyl, I bought the Shure M97xE. Is gentle backcueing safe with this cartridge?

If not, can anyone recommend a DJ cartridge that delivers a great sound?
