I don't recommend backpacks or soft cases, unless you just going a walking distance from A to B. But if you the type that travels a lot on trains, planes and automobiles, a hard case is highly recommended.
Seriously, I saw many forums of users posting their broken pots and buttons from wrapping their gear with a towel and tossing in a backpack. One guy had his entire screen blackened by going through rush hour on the subway. I myself suffered consequences in the '90s but learned since
so don't think I'm trying to get people to go out and get hard cases but there are cheap ones, like the one I got for $40 in the early pages of this thread. Thats a photography case and fits the Live snug.
