I don't know if it's waterproof but I doubt it is. I think it'll survive a few minutes in the rain if it came to it.

It feels like some kind of material over a plastic shell. I'm sure it could handle a few scrapes and knocks but I wouldn't want to drop it down the stairs!

Hello everybody! I got the UDG live case. Not so good in my opinion. When i close the case and just touch the outside of the case- i can hear the data dial clicking. So- the MPC is moving inside and the data dial seems to be taking a hit all the time. If someone is using this already, please let me know how is your Live holding up... Maybe I'm just paranoid... looks like nobody put any effort into the design.

Ive the UDG producer bag and I have had the live in there for a few months, and i take the bag with me to the office everyday. There's other things in there as well but i have the live in such as way that the data dial is at the top and there is nothing on the other sided or the partition inside the bag, so i dont really I have that concern but im sure a time or two in the months ive been rocking the live in there the button has been pressed at some point because the bag is a soft bag.

If you want to eliminate that all together, you need to get a case/bag with a deeper bottom so the top of the lid/case donesnt touch the dial.

I'm making my own case/bag for it. I got a New Era Slim Pack that is exactly the perfect size for the MPC Live and even has extra pockets in the front for hard drives wires or small headphones. Got myself some EVA foam along with Mastercraft egg foam and Mastercraft picked foam. Gonna post the results of this by next week. Total cost of materials is about 30$ since I already had the bag. But you can get the bag for 40$ from New Era. The perks of this is that It'll still be small enough to fit in a backpack. I've listed a link to all the products I got if some feel creative too

If I press where the UDG badge is I can faintly hear the sound of the wheel moving or clicking. If it was being pressed from an angle other than square on I'd be concerned. I don't think it's a major problem though.

I don't want to state the obvious, but you do have the Live case and not the Touch version?

The UDG case now is the same for Live and the touch. https://www.udggear.com/by-device/akai/ ... case-black
It clicks from almost any point - not just the badge. The Bank knob also clicks if i press in that region :) Just wanted to let people know before they spend their cash that it could be a problem, but I agree that it might not be a big problem. I think it's snug in the wrong place.

Mine only clicks around the badge. In certain positions the foam seems to catch the Q-Link button, which annoyingly now appears to be really wobbly but I can't remember if it was that way before?

For my use the case is ok, but for 80 quid I expected a better all round fit.

Yeah my qlink button is also wobbly and I've been noticing the same thing on most youtube videos, it's not a biggie though.

Yep. I agree. My q links are not wobbly at all. Only the big data knob is wobbly, and it was always like that. That's normal I guess....
