Hi everyone,

I've noticed that chopping using the threshold feature on the MPC Live is not as accurate as it was on MPC Software 1.9. I've messed around with the threshold numbers and time limits but still don't get the same results I did on MPC Software 1.9. The chops don't even come close to kicks and snares even when using pretty clean drum loops. Anybody else notice this? Possibilities this might get fixed on future updates?

Thanks!

Had the same issue and figured out what's going on. The new algo seems to be optimized for a typical vintage break that has noise and ambiance throughout.

If you try to use this mode on a sample that has silence between the hits it throws it off and does weird stuff.

My solution so far is to literally add some noise to the sample before using threshold, works much better then.
