currently use an mpc1000 with a complicated midi setup to connect 4-6 synths, then routed to an audio mixer interface, lots of cables, lots of routings with the 1000's individual outputs, so i'm thinking about getting an mpc one, simplify the midi routing at least.

I want to get perhaps the one and the tascam model 12 to route some audio tracks to the mixer without needed additional cables or individual outs from the one (because it has none).

i read a lot of thread over the years stating to always use an unpowered hub, while others say the exact opposite.

I will be passing 5-6 channels of audio via usb + 3-4 synths connected to the one for midi.

so the question is : POWERED HUB OR PASSIVE HUB ? :)

Thx !!

Powered.
MPC manual says powered.
I use these exact pieces. first pic is used for older gear, DIN <-> USB midi + a multi port USB 3.0 powered midi hub going to MPC X. MPC X can then sequence ALL the midi's.
