I know, it's really hard to put them in order and pick one, but let's try.
Here's one of mine: Massey Tape Head.
Just a really good "faturator". Often a cure for thin and clinical sounds. Always adds a bit of beef around the bones. Especially great for snares, kicks, and drum busses. I grew up beefing up sounds in an analog desk (still do it), and things like this in the digital world are a blessing.
It's only available for Pro Tools these days, but I was lucky to buy it when it was available as a 32-bit VST, so these days, in addition to Pro Tools work, I use it in other DAWs via 32 Lives bridging system.
Wouldn't want to do without it!
