On both the MPC 1000 & MPC 2500 that I've tried out, when trying to preview sounds from the load menu, the sequence stops, so it prevents being able to hear the new sounds playing along with the sequence, to see they sound good together, before loading into the project.
I spent so much time loading drums up, only to find out they don't blend well with what I already have, scrap them from memory, load another up, etc etc...
How do you guys get around this?
The only thing that comes to mind is buying another unit, keep the drums on it, then use the main unit for sequencing, sampling, etc.
But that seems like such overkill.
