Hi . im always lookin for havin' a mpc, but i travel a lot. since akai made studio, im lookin forward to buy one, finally 2 days ago i got my new one brand mpc studio. first of all i should mark, that im not a music production rookie, but still i worked only on Fruity Loops and Sony Acid... any way please tell me if there is something what im doin terrible wrong... after while with mpc i made this

First, I am no professional and got my MPC 500 also just 2 years ago.
To your question, I can't find something terribly wrong with your beat.
He's just boring.
It sound's like a solid base loop to make a beat, but no finished joint.
Add more layers, samples, sounds. Play with the mainsample.
Add more drumvariation. And in general, just do more arrangement.
The bassline isn't really hearable for me, but that could just be my shitty pc boxes.

Your second beat starts with a nice sample, but it just won't fit for me with the drums.
It seems a bit "offbeat".
