haven't heard the complete album yet but I like it.
How do you achieve this really great warm fat sound?

Yeah man, that whole album got a genuine 80's bambatta-esique warm fat sound! Sounds like right off the tapes.

No joke, my dog enjoyed Science Fiction, his ear purculated to the bell like sounds and stared into the speaker.

Regarding your question about the sound: the secret may be buried within the mastering chain.
It looked like that:

1. EQ
2. Muliband Compressor (parallel)
3. EQ
4. Stereo Image
5. Limiter

The second EQ featured a dedicated 'analogue' switch - which obviously added some distortion/harmonics. I was not sure about using that option. Now, it seems to work..
