I've read that you produced and mastered all on the MPC 61,
do you have any tricks or methods to share how you get a consistent output?
Do just use your ears? Or have a dedicated final mastering session when the tracks are all done?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I have a general template I load to start a project which will usually use 4 submixes with EQ and compression plus the master track with EQ compression and limiting.

How I use those FX depends always on the individual track. There is no one size fits all.

During mixing I will use SPAN in MPC software to help set my EQ on each track, submix and master.

For finalise I use small amounts of saturation and volume leveling to push into my desired loudness range so each track has a consistent and relative volume on the album.
