Hi, I have a turntable at the moment but I don't have a mixer for it yet so I can't sample from my turntable yet unfortunately.

I've been sampling so far by finding youtube files, or going to my friend's house and sample from his turntable. And before that I have been using the turntable at my school to sample. And I still use the mpc 1000 to this day to make my beats.

But since summer is here, I am really in need of a mixer for my turntable. Can anybody give me preferences or lead me into a certain brand of mixer that has a good reputation?

i sample using a vestax pmc 05, i've had it ages and its pretty bust up (cross fader and one channel no longer working), but i only need one channel to sample.

the vestax is a very simply designed mixer that (used to) use high quality (japanese) components.

when you sample you want good pre-amps and as direct a signal path as possible.

steer clear of behringer, and any mixer that seems to have a lot of features for the price.

You could just get an amplifier???
