Question about hi-hats

On a lot of other drum machines, when you trigger the closed hi hat, it will cut off the open hi hat - like what happens naturally (sort of) when playing a real drum kit. Is there any way to make the mpc1000 do this? Like a setting?

yea its called a mute group or a choke group. it might be set up different depending on your os, but you can do it in jj for sure.

usually you set the sounds you want to cut each other off to the same mute group.
