How to export ready beat in wav file from 2000xl is any way?

please help

you dont "export" beats in any way from the xl. only thing possible is taking data/samples inbetween various mpcs.

what u wanna do is RECORD your finish or semi finished beat to either a hard disk recorder or if u have a decent cpu, use a recording program to handle biz.

there are free programs like reaper (google it) and audacity that work pretty good. i take it that ur new to this world so take your time learning. reaper will probably be the best to mess with tho.

the other thing is an interface. which if u go on a site like guitarcenter and click on recording you'll open up a whoile world of answers. dont be cheap tho. w/ cpus or hard disk recorders u get what u pay for and somethin that sounds phat in the mp wont sound the same after recording.

theres various reasons why but U have to learn that shyt or say u buy a pro tools rig, go hang around their forums for a bit and see what u pick up on.

dont flood the boards here with Q's as u might get shyt on and discouraged real quick, jus do ur homework with what was given and in a few months or hard practice shytll start to sound right...peace

that is because you are not hearing it directly from the mpc.... sorry to say it, but that is only something you could ever appreciate unless you wanna lend your mpc out so people can llisten to your album

get a good interface, you can do some great recordings that still are full bodied.

or if you want, maybe record onto a 1/4" tape deck

yeah u gotta get up on your mixing and eqing/comps n shyt ive been hearing some good things about acid pro n the steps its taking to match other software. yet at the end of the day the final mix is what ur after and reguardless of the program used if its dope it dope if not, then its back to the boards... peace

hey I am curious to know how fruity loops' FPC works with the akai files... has anyone tried loading any mpc programs in that?


I haven't but I wouldn't mind testing that out.

i just threw in an old akai stock cd... and i tried it out. it seems to work pretty well. it loads all the PGMs i tested.... i only tried ones for the 60 and the 2kxl.

i remember hearing something about it before but im not all the way 100 with it. but 9/10 times someone has tried it with other samplers in the akai range, they jus havent mentioned it yet. id try it myself but i use zips and dont have a reader for it.

yeah it seems to work... that might open up a few options for transfering tracks to the computer without having to track anything. faster and no sample quality loss.

can fl studio import the midi data? thatd be pretty sweeet for further experimentation

i will give that a shot after, but i somehow wouldn't be surprized.... i will let y'all know how it works out.

The midi data is saved as standart midi file. Since most of the Sequencer Software can import the SMF Format it shouldn't be a problem. You can choose to save in SMF0 or SMF1 One of those save all MIDI data in a single MIDI track the other saves it splitted.
