MPC 2000 XL CHANGING SAMPLE EVERY 8 HITS

Our MPC 2000 XL has started changing the sample every 8 hits on the key pad and on trigger, any ideas why, have we missed somethin? or pushed a wrong button?

Every 8 hits? Do you mean every 8th note, every 8th tap, every 8 bars?

so every time the drummer hits the trigger pad on the 8th hit it triggers off a different sample when its assigned only to one sample. not sure if thts any clearer to you?

Strange. Have you assigned this Pad you stop other Pads or something like that? Is this behaviour with all Pads and with every program?

this behaviour is with all pads, there are basically 3 trigger pads, 2 rubber pads and a kick and then 3 drum triggers (snare rack floor) so 6 in total and every trigger and pad does the same thing, change the sample after 8 taps.

Ok now I got you. You play the MPC with an E-Drum Set (or kind of)
What model is it? What model is the trigger to midi interface? I guess its a setting in that box.
