midi question.....

I have my mpc hooked up to my roland xp-60 keyboard through midi. I recorded about 4 midi tracks to the mpc from the keyboard. For some reason whenever I try to load up the midi tracks on the mpc after I have previously saved them, the midi tracks don't play back correctly with the same instrument that the tracks were recorded with. The midi settings for the instruments are exactly the same as when i recorded them.
How can I play the saved midi files so they play how I save them? Do they have to have the keyboard to play?

sounds like you need to figure out setting program changes in the sequences to pull up the correct patches on the xp
