Can the MPC master Pro Tools 8

First time poster. I run Pro tools 8 and reason 3 with a $100 m audio midi key board, but i also have a MPC 2000. Can I sync it with pro tools using a midi interface (m audio?) and use it (MP) as a master to control pro tools?

I want to be able to start and stop pro tools using the MPC's transport buttons. secondly i'd like to play and record sounds/instruments from pro tools and reason using the mpc AND my key board.

ANd I use an M box. Like I said, thanks fer your time...

1. If you dont already have one, you'll need a mixer to run audio from your MPC and PC to... then run the audio out from the mixer to your monitors.

2. A simple MIDI handshake between you MPC and PC soundcard. (Midi in to Midi out, vice versa)

3. You need to set the MP as the Master, and the Protools as the slave (these directions are in both manuals.. in the MIDI section)

4. You'll have to route Reason thru Protools as a VST/RTS device.
