Question with exporting out

So, i have a MPC2000xl, and i have the MCD kit from mpcstuff.com
i put my sounds on my CF card and loaded them to pads on my mpc.
i then proceeded to record my drums.
after i was done, i wanted to export them to my computer.
so i started saving stuff to my card.
when i looked at my card on my computer however all i got was a midi file from the "save a sequence" option.
so i went into quicktime and listened to the midi file. and all i had was piano.

how do i get the stuff off my mpc to my computer?

you can't export a whole song from a card to your computer with the 2kxl

and a midi file is NOT a sound file, it's a data file that just indicates what keys at what times are played. that's why it's just piano.

the easiest way to do this right now would be to just have your stereo outs to the audio device's audio in and record.

yeah what you should do is maybe just record each pattern or each track on your computer and then put them together in cubase or fl studio..... it is pretty easy.

should i just put the stereo outs form my 2kxl to my ins on my mbox 2 mini, then uhh just hit the record button on protools?
