Ok whats happening is when i load a drum kit and create a simple beat and then when i try to get a sound from another kit when i try to load it it says not enough memory. So then i go to erase existing p & S and load it but when it chages the beat that i originally made that i wanted to keep all the sounds changed to the new drum kit instead of adding on to it. Im new to the mpc so i dont know is it a memory issue or am i loading up the samples the wrong way i just dont know can you please help???

you need to find out if your memory is expanded. and you need to save your beat otherwise if you load another .all program you'll replace the one thats already there.

thanks for the feedback so far. I got the mpc off of ebay and the person selling it wasnt sure about the memory it has and i dont know either is there a way to find out and what i was trying to do is load a new progaram to get a sound from the new program.

Go to Sample Mode.... in there increase the sample time to however far it will go.. then reply in here with what it says.

if you have 16 MB, you'll have 106 seconds stereo, 212.1 seconds mono..if you're maxed at 32 MB, you'll have 189.2 Stereo, and 378.6 mono..

that's if, you dont have anything loaded yet..fresh start..

sounds like you're trying to load the entire kit into your mpc, try loading just the .snd file for the cymbal, and assigning it to a pad.. if you load sounds with the same name, the mpc will replace the new sound with the old sound if the names are the same..try to avoid loading sounds such as sound1.snd, sound2.snd...and so on..

and create new folders when saving a new beat, otherwise itll become a mess!!!

hope this helps..
