Disk Format

Have a new XL and I want to format my disk for my internal zip. I was reading the manual and it stated that I need to select between 2DD and 2HD. I'm not sure which one I have. I purchased Iomega 100mb zip disk. Can anyone tell me how to figure out which should I pick 2dd or 2hd.

I think the bit about 2DD & 2HD is just going to be refering to floppies, not zip disks. The only option when formatting a zip is whether you want to partition it, & if so into how many divisions.

I've got a 2000, not XL, so I cannot verify this but you might find that the XL manual doesn't cover internal zips unless it is some appendix at the back.

I appreciate the reply. I figured it out. It was a little different from what the manual was telling me. I guess that's how this sh*t works...trial and error.
