Sampling using the record in

Hello fellas,

Pretty new to the MPC so I'm just getting aqquainted with the manual. I'm currently sampling my alpha Juno 1 via the record in, however I have to edit it after in order to make it fit in time. I'd be interested in finding a way of recording whilst the sequence is playing, as this would solve any timing issue - any ideas of how I could do this? Even if the record sample in feature had a metronome or BPM counter, that would help bundles.

when recording,,the mpc says "start recording when note is played" (or something like that)...and then as soon as u start playing the juno it starts recording,right?

well instead of playing the juno to start the recording,hit "record+play start" and you will hear the metronome untill ur beat starts playing,then u can record right over the beat...
