Hello Lads,

As I stated before I'm new to the Mpc, so just getting to grips with it all. I've got some material that I'd like to sample in to my MPC from my DAW. I'm aware that I can use the SP/DIF from my focusrite saffire to the digital in on the mpc. How might I do this? Would I need I need an optical cable?

Cheers

No you dont need an optical cable cause the SP/DIF on the Saffire is not optical. You'll need a cinch/cinch cable (the MPC also got SP/DIF in form of cinch) . But you shouldn't buy the chaepest one cause AFAIK it could causes dropouts.

What is a cinch cable? Is that basically a mono Rca/phono to phono lead? I know there are different terminologies for basically the same thing.

Thanks
