Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

HI EVERYONE...

QUICK QUESTION. I TRIED TO TURN ON MY MPC 2000 TODAY. I CAN'T FEEL THE MACHINE BOOTING BEFORE THE OS (FLOPPY) INSTALL. I CAN'T SEE IN THE SCREEN THE REQUEST FOR THE FLOOPY CONTAINING THE OS. NOT EVEN THE SCSI SCAN.

ANY SUGGESTIONS...

damn bruh, that sucks...

not to get off topic or anything, but am I the only one that boots up his 2000 with the OS floppy already in the drive?

Check the fuses inside the machine. Make sure the machine is off first. If you don't know how to do this, find someone that does -- you can get hurt if you don't know what you're doing.

Definitely sounds like a fuse.

My 2kxl did the same when I bought it. They sell replacements at RadioShack.

You almost hear a click, but nothing. If wiggling the cables gives you nothing (like a second of juice - maybe the power connector came loose) then it's most likely the fuse.
