recording

i just got my first mpc and i am trying tor record a loop of drum.When i play them they seems ok , but when i lsiten to what i recorded it dosent sound like what i have , it look like the mpc changed some of my instruments.Is that normal ?Can i change that option ?? plEASE HELP ME

you probably switched programs inbetween recording your drums.

no , I mean , when i listen to what i recorded , some of my hit hats (example) in the sequence are changed of place .Maybe its me , but when i record its sound ok but when i listen to what i recorded , some of my snares(example) are changed of like .5 swec and its sound bad ,

Timing correct, look into it.

look at the bpm too. you gotta make sure the bpm is what you want it to be. And then look at the timing.

Is that the only problem...... that some sounds aren't in quite the right place you intended. Don't worry too much. As you get more used to the feel of the MPC, your playing of the pads should get tighter.

Are you recording with quantise on? If not try that.

In the sequence you are recording this loop in, make sure you put each sound in a different track. You can move any of those out-of-time hits forward & backwards to the right place, but it will be easier to find a particular wrong snare if you know one track is just that snare.
