I'd try an authorized Akai service center or look for an MPC2000XL that someone is parting out. eBay perhaps?

Long unavailable.
However, I am buying MPC's dead or alive.
Could use a couple more donor 2000XL's for some mod projects.

Otherwise search craigs and ebay, but I can tell ya, many dead mp's are the same issue,
so you'd prolly end up with two of the same problem
