it doesnt take a cd. you can sample a cd though, either by plugging the mpc into a cd player or by uploading the cd onto the computer and chopping it up there

yeah, anything with an output. you'll need an adapter though...

a kind that goes from the output of your cd player (1/8th inch) to your mpc input (1/4th inch).
