mpc 2000 compatability

new to mpcs, picked one up recently
this version operates on floppy disks, but is there any other way
to import samples? also, what sort of device can i pick up to rewrite the floppys?
something that would be compatible with a macbook preferably.

Upgrade the floppy drive to an internal Zip drive or some type of card reader.

Make sure your Macbook also has access to an identical storage medium (Zip drive, card reader etc) so you can transfer samples quickly between it and your MPC.

You'll find that most 2000 users have upgraded the floppy.
