Connecting 2000xl to CPU

Can anyone give me the perfect hook up for connecting my mpc 2000xl to my cpu or labtop. do i need a digi design but im soon to get protools but please give me the whole hook up so i can get things to start recording.

There is no such thing as a "labtop".

Please read around the site, this has been answered many times, do some homework.

I've heard "labtop" from people born and raised in the USA, UK and everywhere else.

One of my friends who calls it a "labtop" asked me "how do I install the internet?" I told her that's why she doesn't deserve a "labtop."
