Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I downloaded the files, saved them on a ZIP Disk, tried to load them into my 2000XL, the program on DRUM 1 works just fine.

When I try to load sounds on DRUM 2, my zip disk acts funny and then I get a Wrong File Format message.

What is the problem here?

Is it my ZIP Drive?

Also, some of the drums when I load them, if I press and hold the pad, they repeat until I let it go. Is it supposed to do that?

I don't think it is.

This is very frustrating and I might need to just go ahead and upgrade to the flash drive and be done with it.

Any suggestions?

Alrighty then, let's see...

The wrong file format is propably due to the samples not beeing the .. er file format... Check the samples to see that they actually are 16bits and not anything else.

The drums repeating untill you let go is, well kinda normal. It happens because the person who chopped/made the samples had loop/region points in there while exporting and forgot to or didn't want to erase them.

This can be fixed by opening the samples in say cool edit and deleting the loop points from them, or setting your mpc to not to repeat the sample.

Update: they said that some of drums were set to loop on. Plus they were in wav format. They sent me a redownload in snd format so they should work fine.
