8 outs problem?

I bought my MPC2000XL almost 2 months ago on EBay. It came with full memory and 8 outs. Everything seems to work fine.

I never really messed with the 8 outs before because I didn't need to yet, but out of curiousity, I assigned some pads to the outs and plugged the outs(instead of stereo outs of MPC) into my stereo to test it out.

I'm not getting any sound at all. I assigned the pads to the correct outs in the mixer screen. Is there any other thing I need to do? Is it broken some how?

Never mind. Realized something may not be fully connected inside, and I was right. It works now.
