I just got a MPC not to long ago, i read the manual but i am still confused. 3 questions are.

1.After i sample something then set the sample to all 16 pads where i can change the pitch without it changing the tempo of the sample. like if i hit pad 1 then go to pad 10 the sample changes pitch but the sample slows down alot.

2.How do i set my pad to where the sample only plays while i'm holding the pad down and doesnt play the entire sample everytime i hit the pad.

3.If i get a zip drive can i sample my loops in wave and transfer them onto the computer or is the only way to get them into my computer is from the line outs?

1. Not possible the tempo will always change. Look into the bpm match function on your xl
2.In the program screen turn poly to note off
3.You can take the zip disc out of your mpc and put it in your computer to transfer the waves. But I recommend getting a card reader. But even still tracking out your beats to the computer is the best option
