Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have tried to get some answers on this, but can't get a real feel for this when searching previous threads.

My man with the orange 2000xl has gone silent since I asked if we could talk about the deal on the phone. Either dude's a fraudster or has mysterously lost his internet connection? Pity, as it was a good deal (without being suspiciously cheap) and was about as fully loaded as you could possibly expect (I guess the only upgrade you could possibly do is add an mfc42, which the dude actually had but wanted another £125 for it...£400 was already about my limit).

Now after about a week with nothing on eBay there's a blue Xl on the go without the 8 outs...now most of the ones I've seen for sale had this already (especially if they had max ram/FX/Cf reader like this one does). Do these things crop up all the time on here and ebay...and what is a rough price? I don't wanna blow my budget on this sampler if i'm gonna have to splash out much more straight away...and I really think I'm gonna need those extra outputs.

chekk out rouge music in nyc... they are shippin stuff.....
e.g. they got this 8 outs for 125 DOLLAR.... which is quite cheap...
don´t know how much shippin is, but shouldn´t be that much...

i bought mine there as well this summer in combination with the effect board...
but sadly i am not using both at all!

some kind soul has pointed out via PM that fx/8 outs are also used by the S2000...ARRGH...as a fund raising excercise I sold one that I had in my possession for 30 bucks!

A friend of mine had been kicked out of this studio he was running, and he was no longer using some gear so he gave it to me before he moved away. I never really got round to looking at it and thought "easy liquidation"!

Not sure if it had either the fx board or outputs...I wasn't caring at the time. Still, I would rather have salvaged them if they were there...or even sold them off to make more dough!

hey. i say look all around ebay or internet for one and dont spend more than $200 for 8 outs. if you spend $400 you should just save for a better MPC or something. the 8 outs is a killer time saver, but its usually used on and off unless you got tons of audio to track out in a little amount of time. i have the 8 outs and its great to have, but im not really on any deadlines to get my beats done.
my 2 cents.
good luck!

yes get a s2000 with the 8out board from ebay for a few bucks, put that 8out board in the MPC and sell the s2000 on ebay again.
But you may have to figure out how to fix it in the MPC. You will need some extra screws or something like a metal plate. I guess there are some threads about this here if you search the forum.

I wouldn't say the 8-out option is rare at the moment. But as the years go by it gets harder and harder to find options. I lucked up and submitted make offer on ebay for $50...seller accepted.
