pad sensors problem

so an hour ago,i opened my mpc as the audio outs wernt workin right, for some dumb reason i took off the connecting ribbon cuz i was curious,i fixed the sound problem but now when i try to lock the ribbon or whatever its called for the sensor,it does not lock, they were working perfectly ,but now the sensor isnt working right. and like the tip of the ribbon thing is black ,idk why? can i fix this??

ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! im such an idiot,so after a day wasted, i found out why it wasnt working, everything was working right,its just that i didnt put the sensor ribbon in the socket, i put it under the black thing which figures why it wasnt working, its all working now,yayyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u guys can lock this lol, sorry for wastin yall time
