could use some help

You're probably not heating the parts enough, need a hotter soldering iron, or there's something built up on the pins preventing the solder from sticking.

whats puzzling me is that the the center to tabs solder with no problem...

the two center tabs solder w no problem..(btw i just installed a new headphone jack on my vestax mixer and worked perfect) for some reason the solder just wont stick to the pins(4 on one side 2 on the other).... if anyone has experience in electronics i have a question... is solder necessary for the fader to work?? or is for securing purposes...the reason i ask is the tabs keep it in place solid, but the fader still does not work..( i think i may have damaged a trace)

I don't understand that diagram. haha I forget what the layout was on the fader pin, but basically there are pins that are obviously from the fader and there are pins from the fader chassis. Did you try cleaning off the pins? maybe use a little alcohol and/or use some flux prior to soldering.

Generally if it was soldered in the first place then you should make sure it's put back the same way it came off for good measure. Best to have it secure as to not cause damage over time.

sorry that lil diagram didnt come out right..i took a photo and edited it

ive already tried cleaning it with acid flux and rubbing alcohol..still no go.

im a lil more concerned now that i may have damaged the trace(bottom last pin on the left side) you can see the copper exposed

might try this to repair it...
