BPM Match Question - Weird...one for Tutor?

I have some .wav files and when I try and look up the BPM it is reading as blank. could this be the type of file? (it was a beat I edited on Cool Edit and saved as a pcm .wav file) . Other than not getting a BPM read out the sample works fine.

Any ideas?

You only get a BPM reading if the sample is set to LOOP ON.
