How does one test the internal power supply unit

My MPC 2000 won't power on. The input jack ticks when i try to power it on. i think its the internal power supply but before i order one how can i test mine to be sure

You will need a multimeter and basic wiring info on the power supply

With the power off, look at the glass fuses to make sure none of them are broken or burnt.

I'm dealing with a PS issue also and was thinking on a whole other level.
