Whats the most I should pay for a 2kxl

Just wondering, what do you guys think is the most I should spend on a decent condition 2kxl without the 8 outs or card reader? I'm thinking the average price should be around 550-600?

$500 sounds about right for what you want but you can always juke 'em down on the price if you got cash. Check craigslist in your area. And power up the MPC before you buy it.

that sounds about right, although I have seen CL flooded with fully blown units in that price range as well.

Patience is key -- even on eBay fully loaded 2000XLs sometimes go for less than $500 shipped, though units that have no upgrades don't seem to go for much less -- do yourself a favor and get one with as many options as possible in your price range -- you can always sell the 8-outs, EB-16 or card reader separately if you never use it.

I would pay 50-100 less then mpcstuff.

No more than $300-350 anyhting more is overpriced regardless the going rate.
Also keep in mind that most 2k/2kxl units you find will likely have some issue.
Might just be cosmetic but more than likely you will have weak transport buttons or a wandering jog wheel.

A dealer with a return policy or local CL woulkd be best since one allows for return and the other would let you check it out.

If you are talking the $550-600 range that should be VST since they check stuff out and stand behind it.
The problem with going that high for a 2k/2kxl is you are now in the range of a used 1000bk w/wo JJ os or maybe even a blue screen mod.
