whatup peeps,

my zipdrive is not working properly as it first starts to make the zipdisk click and than you see "disk error"..

what would be best? to replace the zipdrive or to install a cardreader?

for the cardreader do i need a special powercable or is it the same one as used in the zipdrive?

tnx

it will be powered from the 4 pin power cable like what floppy drives are powered by. it should only use the red and black wire though... so the stock power cable for the floppy drive should be fine. should be the exact same cable as your internal zip drive also.. in fact I believe that is the only internal power source available on the 2000xl if I remember correct.

The power cable to your internal Zip will be the same as the one for a card reader.
It's a 4 pin female molex connector just like in a computer:

it should use this cable:

I didn't see molex anywhere on the motherboard without using a mini molex to molex adapter.
