Weird Problem,....PEEP

OK after working for a while, 5-8 hours my MPC does some strange shit. I go to 16 levels change it to tune and its set to pad 4 by default. Well i can't navigate to change it to another pad so I am stuck at 4. And I don't want to have to save, shutdown, then reload, ... sucks. Any one notice this?

XL or non?
never seen or heard of this on the non. try the newer (or second newest) os if you are on the XL. rinse, repeat.

yah, I've had this problem happen before a number of times. Coincidentally after having it on for a long time like yourself. It must just be a glitch, I've never thought about upgrading to the new OS, only because this is the only problem I ever encounter [knock on wood].

Yeah i have the XL and have 1.14 installed. Its the only problem i have had.

Ive never kept my mpc on longer than an hour and a half....What can you possibly be doing for 8 hours.

I leave mine on all day sometimes. I'll load up a .pgm in the morning and and stop and bang away about a dozen times throughout the day.

yeah i leave me on for days alot, but i have the nonXL and 1.72os is stable as a rock. you might try another XL os, to switch back all you have to do is boot from a different disk.
