us ckrename and give each sound different names.
Don't stick with defaults, cmon, u know that already, the same name sound
can't be in the mpc, no matter what program it's assigned to. Don't use the same names period.

You're right...I was speedin'. Good looks on the ckrename prog...I now know what I'ma use that for. I can, theoretically, default name or do something simple like "a1.snd", "a2.snd"... and then run 'em through ckrename to get a more fitting filename...right?

How about giving your samples the name of your actual song.

If the song is named "Geng-Grizzly"

then maybe use ckrename to rename all the sample files GnGrzy01.wav"

That way you know what song it goes, it's 8 characters, AND it has a number so no sample for that song will have the same name.

Save as wav so that you can load those wav files into a computer editor if you want to edit them at any time
on computer.
