whats crackin' fam...

i cannot save my work because i removed the cf from the xl's reader(mpc-stuff non-hotswap)..
now it pauses for about 5-10 seconds when i try to save and says 'disk error'.

has anyone else encountered this and know a solution to saving.? besides resetting my mp..

i been working working like a mad man on this one beat. i have the main backups of these beats saved, but since then i've spent about 3hrs tightening up, adding small percussion touches etc i'm gonna lose alot of tedious work.

any advice... plz mpc-forums, your my only hope...

i don't want to leave my xl on for days, i'm too paranoid the screen will die on me.

i thought of resampling each track i've worked on since the save into my 2500, but to just

on another note: i found a bug where the xl freezes when switching to sample mode from almost any screen. i had digital selected and cable plugged in, so i think that was the problem. after a few attempts of resetting then freezing every time i switched to sample mode. i removed the digital cable(2500->xl) and it was all gravy!

track it to the computer man.. dont plug any scsi stuff in the port while the XL is turned on or you could do some damage.

oh well, it's working now. just jimmied the card in n out a few times..

this beat i'm in the midst of is bonkers, just drums and percussion in the xl, partnered up with my fantomx6.. original composition shiit!

really strange though: i was doing some crazy step editing on tr15 and tr16(midi same channel), like pressing [step>] [delete] [step>] [delete] really fast just in the 6th bar, and now it's delete most of my sequence from bar 6 onwards.. WTF! i may aswell had just reset it, coz ima have to get busy again.. sigh! at least i got it to save. pheww!

i'll upload this when i'm done so y'all can be  n shiit!

btw i'm absolutely loving using my xl again after so long, for every reason the 2500jj is better, there is a work around for it i the xl... i'm getting way more creative on my xl, rather than my 2500 which i've just been using to resample etc..
