HELP! Shift Button keeps spazzing!!!

Machine: 2000xl

The problem I am having is this... when I have a sample loaded and I am in trim mode, I scroll down to the "Start point" section(all 6 digits are highlighted by default which allows you to trim at single digit intervals, I like to trim by the 1000 or 100 so I hold the "shift+left arrow button" and the starting point jumps all around. I guess this really becomes a problem when I actually have the start point I want selected, I hit the shift button and it makes me lose MY start point cuz it starts jumping around.

Maybe a short in the button?

whoa mine is doing the exact same thing. thats why i checked ur post. crazy, keep me updated on results or findings.

no probom guys, the slider is made that way. Once you hit shift to use the slider, t will recognize the top position as a left adjustment and the bottom as a right. Your machines are okay, I repeat your machines are okay.You just gotta get used to it.

Tapuno, its not just the start position... it does it for the end position as well... and this happens before I even touch the arrow or slider... this happens as soon as I touch the Shift button... and its hit or miss because it gave me no problems yesterday. lol I think I am going to take off the cover and see if I need to clean around the button and if that doesnt work, order a replacement button tact from mpc-stuff.

yeah i think it's probably a actual defect in the switch itself... mines has the same problem... so i save my work and restart the machine then it works fine... sometimes. it may even be a software defect but it's really hard to tell since it only happends every so often...

ive proved this to myself by just wiggling the shift button and it would happen... still really hard to call tho... if anyone finds success let me know...

oh shit, Im still wrkin on 1.12, im planning on upgrading tho next week or sumthin. maybe it is the os?

Naw, its definitely the hardware. Like J said, even if I hold the button down and wiggle my finger just slightly, I lose my start point. MAD Frustrating

Replace the tact switch, I've had that happen to my nv slider before.
It's def the switch, replace it.
