Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi There
So I just bought a new Zip 250 drive for my MPC 2000. I really only needed the PSU so i plugged it into my old one.
I think it fried it! oops.
So I used the new one but when I go in to Disk mode to access it it gets stuck on wait when I try to select SCSI.

I have unplugged the zip and it still does the same thing.
Any tips.

Pls

I think this part may be same as the MPC2000XL: Fuse c.minismdc 6v 1.1a t12e

I hope you are good a soldering surface mount.

There are ways to get around this in a pinch. Jules' Akai Sampler FAQ talks about this.

Yes, that does look like what you need. Be sure that you can handle the soldering part of it, as it is always possible to damage your board when you start soldering.

Someone else on here had soldered in a socket for the fuse, which I thought was a good idea. Ideally, you should not be blowing SCSI fuses but having the fuse socketed sure does make it a less of a hassle in case you do.
