My only question that I can't get answered

The way I been doing my recording is I have my audio outs of my modules going into my soundcard. After I finish the beat on my mpc I press record on cubase sx and play on the mpc and cubase records the sequenced beat. THey only thing I hate about that is that sometime I use each sound module for more than one sound and the two or three sounds I use get recorded on one track.

I just want to know how would I be able to do it midi wihich will allow my mpc and computer to work together that will allow me to eq and effect each sound as needed

thats where things like pro tools come into play.. i.e. the Digi 002. you can hook up individual outs from your MPC or your sound modules and then the Digi 002 and pro tools will see each sound as an individual track. i know theres other ways to do it but i dont know of anything as easy as that way.

Nonsense, You can do it in cubase too. (I think i've seen this question here 10 times before, maybe someone should write a tutorial)

You need to hook up your mpc to your PC both with audio, and midi. Then sync the two together, so you can record track by track.
here's how i do it:
First finish your sequence/song, put all the sounds you need separate on different tracks.
In song mode use a blank 4 bar sequence as the first sequence to play.
Connect one midi-out from you MPC to the PC's midi in.
Go to the sync screen on the MPC and set it to send MTC and MMC at 25fps (make sure you choose the right midi output here).
Set the sync preferences in Cubase to recieve MTC at 25fps (read the help files or manual).
On the Cubase transport bar, press the sync button, and make sure the master button is off.
Set the same time signature (usually 4/4) and bpm as your mpc sequence.
now if you press play on the MPC, Cubase will play as well, hopefully with the same tempo and timing.
Solo the track(s) you want to record on the mpc, and run the audio outputs into your soundcard. Set up an audio track in Cubase and arm it for recording. Set you levels correct etc.
Now in song mode, go to the start and press play. Cubase will begin to play as well. Hit record in Cubase before the blank sequence ends and let it run for as long as your song is.
Do this for each track, just solo the different tracks you need they will all start at the same time and stay in sync.

Tmay, how do you play more than one sound from a single synth module? I own a virus a and didn't find how to play more than one sound (ie a bass sound and a lead...). Thanks !

if more than one sound records on one track....you may need to turn the actual sound down all the way in the module....at least until you get to recording that particular sound.
