ok so this is a question ive meaning to ask for a while but never could phrase it. looked in the manual about it around pages 111- 115 with no dice...i was wondering if theres anyway to find unused NOTES (39-98) on pads in your MPC. i was in assignment view on my 2kxl and my data wheel turned accidentally (happens alot these days) moving the "note" of one of my pads.
step by step what happened
-program mode
-highlighted pad:B01
-hit open window
-assignment view - showing which sounds on which pad
in bank: B
-highlighted B01 which had the "--" sign for nothing assigned to it.
-my data wheel turned and went to some god awful sound and by changing the pad it changed the note number as well.
so now if i find any random note number that has a pad on off it will duplicate where that note number is assigned to. meaning if i choose 71 and if 71 is already on D07 then everything that happens to pad B01 happens to pad D07. i want to find the note number that was already assinged to B01
hope this is clear...
