help needed with Iomega zip drive

hey guys i bought an MPC2000xl and it came with a usb iomega zip drive and a scsi i omega zip drive.
however the scsi one was broken , i bought a replacement off ebay , on opening them i noticed the second one i had bought did not contain a termination or port switch like the broken one .

everything is plugged in with the correct cables and also the mpc wokrs with floppy disks. when i go to load the zip drive , im presentend with the "LOAD" window , however this doesnt seem to go off , as if the machine has locked up

any help ?

Seems to me like your second Zip is a Parallel Port one, not SCSI.. What's the product number?

MODEL NUMBER- Z100P2

This is a Parallel Port model which won't work with your MPCs SCSI Controller..
You need a Z100S2 to get it working.

And think about installing a card reader!

got myself a new zip drive for now , and i didnt get ripped off , an mpc2000xl all the right cables for zip drives , a USB zip drive for samples . and like 10 zip disks all blank
for 400 quid?

i think i got a very good deal mate !

yeah on the mpc you did, but the 3rd xip drive you said you bought it after the mpc and the two original zip drives... I am talking about the scsi zip you bought that turned out to be in fact a parallel drive.

just didnt read the spec , its being sold on ebay again and my scsi one is on the way

Not a bad deal but could have gotten a lot better one.

Today an MCD flew by for 315 quid...

no scratch, prestine
with Multi card reader...

I was tempted as a third spare one
